Ok, I got a little game together runs great in debug mode, but as soon as I run it with F5 to compile and run as an exe, my olympic track, record breaking sprites, seem to be stuck in a jar of glue. Now I have two ideas about the problem. What do you think?

1: my code sucks and there is to much in my maine loop.

2: the demo adds code to slow down exe files to prevent release.

please tell me the only problem will be solved with $99 and not re-writing.

Nope. The $99 and all the patches so far won't speed it up prolly either.

The demo is SOOOooo full of bugs you wouldn't believe.

You have 3 choices:

1) Wait for the next demo release (they said they'd do one with patch 5)

2) Pay $99 and find out for yourself

3) eMail me your program and I will tell you what framerate I get

I agree, the current demo is close to unusable on some machines, buggy at best, so if the code works well in debug it'll prolly be ok in the full patched version. Why not upload your code and media and we can all try it?

Bunnies aren't just cute like everybody supposes, They got them hoppy legs & twitchy little noses,
And what's with all the carrots? What do they need such good eyesight for anyway?

ok, I took one section of the code that was running slow, a simple parralex scrolling background one image for the sky and one for a few mountains. and a logo image. took the code out put it in a new project and it works smooth. the same code in my real project is still crawling. I commented out all the extra load images and varible defination and everything not needed for the scrolling and it still crawls.
maybe DBpro won't be my next purchase.. and I was all excited to have the worst breakout clone in the world. heh.

well b4 I finished typing my reply I tried something new. I copied all my code to the clipboard. Closed the demo of DBpro. Opened a new project and pasted the code. Ran smooth. freaky, but it works. back to making dumb games.. thanks. i think.
