nothing in with the help files.....DB programs for joysticks... and i need help with joypads.... is it posible to program pads with db?

ah, see you cant get the fire buttons to work with a control device command.....and thats what i need...

I seem to remember reading that DBC doesn't support joypads but DBP does?

DBC do support Joypads, just use the joystick command.

e.g.


I use them for my games. Works great.

hope it helps, if you couldn't sort it out, let me know, i'll throw together a little game as example

No it didnt work
well i'm using a game pad pro,and it just doesnt want to work.....
maybe you used a dll or function?

The problem with the gaming community is people think that the resolution of a game defines how good it is. I am not afraid to make a game where the main character is 50x50.

Oh ok, umm the I have no idea, It works fine on my cheap AU $10 joypad. If you try the dll. Let me know if it works.

joypads typically have three ways they work. They either send absolute values along the analog axis, send hatswitch commands for the dpad, or they use buttons. What I'd do is write a small little program that watches all joystick data and reports it.

However, because joypads have so many different methods of working, you'll probably need a way to let the player bind their joypad's controls to the different functions.

Joypads can definitely be made to work in DBC. I have no idea how but know that Evochron Alliance was written in DBC and my joypad pro works fine with that game. You might want to ask on the following forum:

actually i just bought a joystick.i said forget it.never mind...................Now i'm gonna do a search. i think i saw somthing for multi joysticks .. ......... ... .. . .. . ....
