**********NEW PICS FURTHER DOWN THE PAGE++++++++++++++++++Just got my hands on D13's new zombie pack (if you don't have it already, buy something of his, as the new release is wicked), any way, I've been playing around, and retexturing them to look like fat marines...

comments and crit? (although please don't crit stuff like texture stretching, as I can't help that...the models aren't mine!)

Just a bit more on the same base character mesh. Got influenced by new PC game bioshock(please no off topic comments about how awesome it looks), anyway, I thouhght I'd do a kinda, zombie in a big brass diver's helmet. I still need to give him some huge brass boots, and an oxyen tank, but his pretty close to being done.

actually, just looking at these screenies, I'm gonna need to move the helmet up a little bit.. it's rigged to low...anyhoo

Update. Used a Scifi cylinder (resized) to make gas tanks, and extruded a cylinder along a curve to create the tubes.

Rigging was a bit of an issue, but in the end I managed to create a new bone that the tank is fixed to. Half of the tube is rigged to the tank bone and half is rigged to the head bone. I sub divved the tube a bit so there's minimal texture stretching (although thats just me being picky, because you can hardly see the pipes from the front anyway).

Good job, man.

In another thread you mentioned that you might be releasing some of your media. If you do, will this be included? I'm in love with the diver model.

thanks man, and I've done alot of corpses. I'm using airslides tutorial. It was really useful.

Or did you mean reanimated corpses...cuz I've been there (search "what I've been up to")

thank you. I'm very proud of him.

Yes, totally true, I did say that. I'm gonna have to work something out with D13, because the base models are his. But I do want to give away some more material to the community..

I'd just like to clarify, that although the dude is in a diver's helmet, he's not supposed to be a diver. Kinda more like home-made-hazmat!

Thanks for the renewed interest guys. I'm still working on the fat mesh... I have some more ideas and variations to come so keep your peepers peeled on this thread.

2 fat marines with 4 variations
Irun Helmut 2 variations
Dream Stealer
Corpus Imperium marine re-texture for Colonel X
Flame Thrower
Sparky demon (never seen)
Ninja with dual weild (never seen)

Hey hey. Just a quick update, and one I'm rather proud of.
the Hecate Enforcer.

He's got a big fat chaingun linked to an ammo box on his back. This is still kinda WIP. The bullets took (literally) hours to UV map, but I'm still not entirely happy, the head I'm ok with, but the extra eye sockets are eventually gonna link into a box that is kinda stapled to his face, same with the gun it'self, it'll eventually be attached to his arm with metal clamps.

This one is gonna have totally customised animations+skeleton (I need more bones to move the ammo chain propperly). On top of that I'm gonna hve him custom scripted, so that he does things like get angry when shot, and jams his gun etc.
Anyway, here he is so far...

Oh yeah... about the texture... it's not really close to done. THe ammo box, bullet chain and gun are almost there, but the actual body texture is just placemarker ( he's gonna be in much more worn-out brown duds, and I'm thinkin of givin him but hob-nail boots.

Simply awesome!
That's one of the best characters for FPSC I've ever seen (or even the best)
Can't wait for seeing more of your work.

BTW: What are the poly count and texture size of the Hecate Enforcer?

Pigs..

it's 3250k polys (roughly, I have some bits floating around that can be deleted)

and the texture map is 2048x1024

Thanks for the comments guys.

I know he's a little poly heavy for FPSC, but I kinda figured you'd only get maybe 1 or 2 in a level, and as he won't use the default bi-ped I'll be trying to keep the animation at around 1000 frames max, which should precipitate a smaller final filesize.

That's Insanely awsome man! Hope that's going in POE wich is going to rock BTW. If any one here from FPSC hasn't seen the vids and such I suggest you head down to the WIP section and look for the Prophet's of Elijah. Great job man, I'de love to see a vid of this guy in action in POE when you have his anims done.
