Hey got a few questions here...
One is waht formats of maps does DBPro support? I know it does BSP but could I load maps from say Max Payne into DBPro games? Just wondering about that.
Also I am running patch 4.1 and i compiled the tutorial and then tried to substitute the gun with one of my own. My gun was .3ds. Anyone know why it did not work?

.3ds is a bit buggy at the moment and last worked properly in patch 3.1. Try converting to .x instead.

As for what formats of maps does DBPro support, well err....

open to read 1,"whatever.map"

and the rest is - well - complicated. Most programmers write their own formats for each game to best optimise it, however there are plenty of 3D world editors that various forum members have written which may ease the pain of learning. 3D Map Editor, Mappy, Matedit and various others i've heard spoken of. personally I do my own, so I can't advise 'which is best'.

3D Map editor. Ok ill try that. But would a map made in Quake 2 or Quake 3 editor work? Do u know exactly which formats are supported.?

Q2 & Q3 use Binary Space Partitiong aka. BSP.
