Just wondering if any size unit is preferable for use in DBPro. I coded a car to accelerate/turn/reverse etc and it all looked good. I built a quick car in Lightwave (exported as DX 8)to replace the box that I was using in the code. The car was around 10 feet in LW units,(i.e realistic size for LW's world) and a test track was built to the same scale. Ok, now the car zips along way too fast for the track. I can either modify the variables within DB, yaking the values down and making it more realistic or I can size the models up in Lightwave. Does anyone know of any advantages/disadvantages in either of these approaches? I'm leaning towards sizing up in LW, it'll be easier, but I'm not sure how big LW exported DirectX objects can go before giving any potential problems.

If you are using integers than you should have truly massive world values, if you are using real numbers then it doesn't really matter.

I love race games - I love racing, got tropheys et all Can't wait to see the finished game

Thanks for that. I'm using real numbers so I'll experiment a bit. This game should be really nice. Funily enough, my next project was a toss up between the racer or a new Asteroids...am I right in thinking that new Astroids game was by yourself ? I played it for a little reference...excellent stuff.
