The gaps in the object could be to do with the poly direction (if your using an .x object) - to test it try set object cull objectNumber,0.

Are the gaps animated? Perhaps it is distance culling. Try seperating inverse facing polygons or dissabling reverse face culling.

Are you using lightmapping? Try dissabling them they could be conflicting with your scene lighting. Failing that turn off the object/worlds sensitivity to lights.

Are the textures loading in? Check a few of the faulty textures by applying them to a cube.

Is your graphics card fully supported? Try some DBPro downloads compiled under the same patch version as you are using.

Its a bsp map, i used gkradiant 1.1TA to make a map and imported it into dbpro and that worked fine but for some reason the model would get blocked buy invisible walls that are in specific areas of the map. So i decided to use gkradiant 2.2 that i downloaded and it f***ed up big time . I have no idea what to do.

There isn't a gtkRadiant 2.2 ! Latest version is 1.38. Did you mean Q3Radiant build 202?

And when you say it f***ked up can you be more specific. I found a new version of radiant would flip every other face in the BSP but if you compile using the original q3map as opposed to q3map2 (that ships with latest radiant) then it would work.

Incidentally, in theory if you use gtkRadiant to make a game you'd need to pay ID something like $7,500 dollars.

NB. but what if you used gtkRadiant but loaded the .map in a free editor just to compile it?

Sorry, i used gtkradiant 1.1TA for the map that works and q3radiant 1.22 for the map that didnt work.

I think the problem is clearly illustrated in the picture on my first post

Thanks by the way cause the map was compiled with the map2 thing that seemed to cause that weird problem.

*BUT* there are still invisible walls!!!! ARG! Is it a bug with dbpro or just me?

If you send me your map file and any other relevant media I will take a look - [email protected] Any project and code files will help as well.
