Hi,

I have downloaded Mrtatoads plugin system tray dll with the ResInfo thing and can't get it to work. I can't understand it mainly, could anyone make an example bit of code to help me?

Something that would create an icon in the system tray and then delete it afterwards.

MrTAToad, you're example code doesn't work, It comes up with an error saying "Iregular number of brackets at line 6".

Thanx. All Help Appreciated.

MrTAToad would be the best person to ask. However, it seems he isn't here tonight, so I'll try and help.

I haven't seen the example code. Can you post the line where the error occurs?

I am now for a few minutes...

Sounds like your concatenation symbol is different to mine...

Line 6 is :

One other thing - you will need to modify the last parameter to point to the RESINFO.DLL

Good news everyone! I really am THAT good...

toad are you using ',_' instead of '_'?
cause i think that would probably baffle a few people.
you know i was going to use this, but after looking at the source code i'm not entirely sure what it does lol

it puts and icon in the system tray, i get that much - but like how can you give it options and such?
i wouldn't mind knowing how you accessed the system tray in the first place though, cause i wouldn't mind writing my own version

No, I just use _

The menus and things are in the RESINFO.DLL

I might be persuaded to stick the code in the code section later...

I'm using Patch 4 and I keep forgetting to download the newest editor update. I'll go get them both now, and MrTAToad I don't understand what you mean by, "you will need to modify the last parameter to point to the RESINFO.DLL". Is it to change the directory to "C:\Program Files\Dark Basic Software\Dark Basic Professional\Compiler\Plugins User"?

Thanx for your help.

It's to change the path to where-ever the RESINFO.DLL is located.
