Hi there.

I´d like to announce I programmed a Game Launcher for your FPSC Games.
Actually the Launcher was developed for my own Game. But I thought, that maybe some people around here, want it

The Launcher will be Free and has the following Features.

-Video Settings
-Resolution
-Texture Quality
-Dynamic Lighting
-Dynamic Shadows
-Effect Settings (Weapons, Entities, Scene)
-Lightmap Quality
-Lightmap Texture Size

-Special Settings
-Enable/Disable Sky

-Controls
-Redefine all Keys

This is just W.I.P so please post some comments what commands/options I can/should add.

Here are two early Screens from the Launcher.

And sry for my bad English...I'm just a ....German guy

Looks nice.

But i think you should go with an solid menu.

All in the line of 1 color (ofcourse a little different one darker and the other lighter) or a few colors that mix well.

Other then the menu this does really looks nice!

Agreed. Nice work and concept, but a more generic look is in order if you want others to use it. It either needs to look like their game (in which case they will need to make their own) or it needs to look like like a generic windows program.

Best of luck with it.

I'm sorry, my answers are limited. You must ask the right question.

Hmm, interesting concept. No idea how it serves purpose to me, but nice work!

You could try to make the button colours/placements user definable. That would make it a bit more flexible when your users come to release it with their game.

Edit: How does the lightmap size thing work? I thought the lightmaps were made before the game was released, so you can't really change it afterwards, because the lightmaps aren't made during the load

Hm, I don't knew that. But thanks, that means I will remove these "Feature"

The customizable Buttons could be an option, yes. Will looking forward if I could realize this. Thanks for That!

I've made the GUI to more generic like. I think it looks better now.

How you guys think about a Feature, where I add a Tab at the Bottom which is called "Visit Website"? The users could write there Game Website into an ini file, and the Programm automatically Hyperlink to that site! Sry it's quite hard to explain these, because I'm german

One Question @all. Are there any commands which you can set in the "setup.ini" that are not in the ini file by default? If they are, I would like to integrate that also in the Launcher.

Th@nx for comments!

I'd definetly find use for an app like this, in fact... *puts on sunglasses* I'd love it. YEEAAAHH!

Uh, yeah, anyway, it looks nice, but I'd go with a darker color scheme like the one in Steam, with solid-colored buttons instead of gradients. Other than that, it looks great.

avenger,

Greetings. Your application does have some merit. I'll make it a point to keep an eye on how things progress and evolve.

Keep up the good work.

Thanks,

Seth Black

Thx

The gradient buttons are now replaced by solid button.
I'm trying my best to improve the GUI

Very good, but you'd think FPSC might not be able to change the built game executable even with another program....

I'd like to see this be done. Keep it up.
