Hi is there any way I can set the mipmap distance so it starts mipmapping farther away from the camera? Thanks.

Um, it's when stuff is close up that you want to have mip mapping on!

What? MIPmapping (multum in parvo) is used to decrease the texture size and hence blur the texture further away so you don't get ugly floating pixel artifacts.

Um, I don't know if you can set the mipmapping distance, I think probably not. You can set different styles or something, it was in one of the help files for DBC.

I was actually looking for away to do increase the range for use with a matrix. The textures on the matrix gets blurred too close to the camera.

Vandetta, I think you can use PneumaticDryll's code, just change the 'set object filter' for 'set matrix texure'.
You can take the 'y position - matrix height' as the distance (range).

There's no way to specify mip mapping per tile on a matrix, and updating the matrix manually in real time would be a bit slow.

Vandetta ... i have been annoyed by that problem to .. no cure.. unless the powers that be implement a command for scale of range of the 'step down' of texture for mipmapping.
Unless that's preset by direct x ??
I Just wonder why others havn't complained.
