Ok, heres the deal, I just recompiled the FPSC-game.exe to change the sync rate to 70. Then when I use it to compile the game, it compiles very slowly, and when I start the game, I end up at position 0,0,0. I cannot move, now technically I should be at the start position right, what am I doing wrong?

Here are some specs:
DBpro 6.6 (online edition)
DBpro extras 6.2
FPSC 10.6 RC4

AMD Athlon 64 4200+ 2.2GHz
2GB RAM
Nvidia 8800GTS 320MB
80GB HDD
600W PSU

Thanks,
-Steven

This isn't the help forum for DBP dude. Ask over in the DBP forums.

E-mail me the changes if you want a quick-fix though, i'll take a look at it if you want.

But it's a problem with your DBP coding. That's why it should be in the DBP forum.

Its not, because if I take out my edited code the same thing happens. Its something to do with FPSC loading in the program

That doesn't matter though, this board is for FPSC stuff, not a problem with code, as I said above. However, i'll drop it and try to help.

FPSC loading in what program? If you compile the source exactly as it is distributed, with no changes, does the same bug occur?

Agreed, it's best just to wait 'till christmas for the new source.

Yes but this game needs to be done by November 17th .. Do I have to use V1.0.0 to use the source code?! And yes, if I dont make any changes, the same bug occurs.

Why must it be done then?If you want it out then, you can wait a little longer...OR you can look into the 20.000 lines of code, and find the player spawn code.

I already messed with the spawn code, Ill try messing with it some more, but really, the source code should work first try without any editing right?

That source was released when V1 was released,so it is old, outdated and every bug in it you could possibly think of.

Ok, well any other way to set the sync rate to 60? Or do I have to hack the exe?

Well,no way.You need to edit the source.Oh,and setting Sync Rate to 60 will let all animations go wacky,as they arent timer based.(LEE,READ THAT)

So you will need to adjust more then just the sync rate.

Yep you cant have 60 or 70 its really that simple not to mention not alot of computers will run it at that kind of speed once you have a proper game so you really need to focus on your game rather than messing with the old source code to get nowhere, your better using the latest version of FPSC anyway and the source is V1.00

Thanks
