UPDATE

We're releasing a patch for v20 Standard.

This patch mainly updates the interfaces with Icon/Text buttons, but it also makes the hidden text stay hidden until loaded on non-FPSC game settings menus.

Note: This is not an installer. Unzip and replace the current files with these.

v20 Standard Released

Phoenix Sentry is proud to announce the release of Phoenix Standard v1.1.0.20 at last!

Improvements/Fixes/Features

Speed improved dramatically by removing redundant protection methods
Video and Audio previews directly from the Options Menu
Custom controls and buttons on the Settings Screens (in-game)
Save your Options settings and files as Phoenix Projects, eg. mygame.phx
Many hard-core protection systems were reworked to be more end-user friendly. You can even turn real-time protection off at design time if you wish. The files will still be encrypted/decrypted so there is always static protection methods employed.

Note: The Standard Edition is designed to be and available to you as a fully functional demo. The Standard Edition does not have nearly as many features and refinements as the Advanced and higher editions. If you are going to go with Phoenix, please start with The Standard edition with our compliments. If you like what you see, check out the Advanced or Professional Editions. Contact us with your questions concerning sales at our website.

@Seth Black:

Cool deal.

As an independent artist, you can come up with media packs on your own schedule and either release them to the public for free or charge a small fee. Phoenix Sentry will not require a licensing agreement for anyone to produce media packs for use with our products, but we will only endorse those submitted for our "seal of approval".

Thank you for your donation of 5 media packs already! That's an outstanding contribution to our community.

Two Questions
What is this for exactly? Seems nifty either way
Also why is your PC so fast? I read you're specs and wow I mean I have:
1x 8800GTS 320MB
2GB of DDRII Ram clocked at 512 MHz
1x 64 Bit AMD Dual Core 4200 Processor (2.2 GHz)
And on FPS Creator x9 the game still ends up lagging if I put in too many models.
oh and Windows XP Home Edition

User of Windows XP Home, AMD Dual Core 4800+ 2.51 GHz CPU
2GB of DDRII Ram, 320MB 8800GTS GeForce

1) It is for whatever you want it to be. Like a good dream. Mainly packaging your game and adding some protection.
2) Whose PC specs are you quoting?

@Magus - I believe you are asking me why my PC is so fast.

Simply in my line of work I manage on a daily basis over 450 Servers remotely, I am also a Senior Web Programmer and Programmer for the company I work for was well. Also With Dark and I we own Phoenix-Sentry as well as other sites.

So having to mulit-task is a must and with all that I also have to have multi-platforms installed as well. and tons of Virtual Machines running at the same time. So the PC has to be strong and Fast to handles the loads I give it.

and I watch it all on 8 - 22'inch widescreen displays. on 2 different Super Towers. Identical specs.

v20 of the Standard Edition has not yet been updated with the latest code enhancements of Phoenix Advanced and higher editions. While this free version isn't my priority when coding, I will keep it updated for performance.

Look for an update patch this weekend. It will still be v20, so you will not need to do anything other than download the files and copy them over your existing ones.

UPDATE: v20 Patch 15SEP07

Here's the patch with performance upgrade. I tested it on creator of zombie's Demon Sun and got 33FPS throughout. It was sweet to play that demo again, by the way.

Patch:
Note: This patch is not an installer. See the readme_patch.txt in the zip file for upgrade instructions.
