I know it seems like I've been aking a lot lately but I am getting ready to post my game and I really need these animated and FPSC ready. They are the bases for the whole game ( and you do have permission to use these models under the fact that you dont sell, or use in a sold product.) I've been busting my brains over a video for this game and I don't want all this time to go to waste. I don't have time to learn how to import into FPSC or provide the animations for in-game.

I need the XENOMORPH (Facehugger) and the Predator animated and FPSC ready. The Xenomorph can have a simple crawl animation, not all legs or any have to move (just a skit across water like dragonfly kind of animation. And a get close attack animation. If you want, a small jump attack.)

The Predator can have a simple enemy melee animation ( or if you have seen the movie and would like, a animation simulating how he would really act.)

I don't need youto go crazy with it, just so it looks like they are trying to kill you. If you do so, whatever prize I receive, you can have it. all I want is the pride of joining a contest and doing good.

Thanks you very much and God Bless.

An Alien isn't a xenomorph until it's in its adult form.

Do you really think someones going to go through all that trouble animating, for your level? If they were they might as well enter there own level with this media

TATBS 1.8 is now fully functional. Brilodis is having its districts extracted to Battle City. Krina and Karin are twice the size. And you’ll see 5 times as many breeds of monsters... It’s Kalspher V3.

Well I use Megaupload to host files. I don't download pirated media.
And I might as well try to do it myself. No one will help, so if I don't get this in in time, then whatever.

No, I tried doing it and I cannot do this is the ammount of time I have to finish this game. YOU CAN HAVE MY PRIZE! If you just rig them and make them FPSC ready. I have a feeling these models will push the game into at least a second place entry.

I beg of you. Without these, my whole work will be in vain.

Yay! Triple post. Okay, well I see there are no more good people alive. I mean seriously, your not going to be doing this for free. I'll send you screens of my game so you can see how m ylevel design will at least win me a nice little model pack.

PLEASE! I've never been so begging before.

Its going to be alot of work for the one rize you'll get, so no-ones going to do it trust me. Animating is long, hard work.

these models are far too high poly for fpsc if you want to do well in the fpsc comp focus on level design.

Yes, they are free from the site. For non-commercial use for most but it depends on the wishes of the modeler. All you got to do is credit them and you can use it in whatever.

Begging will get you nowhere.

Aside from the polycount being silly-big here are your problems:

1) The predator mesh is standing in a bind pose, not a neutral pose, which will make him harder to rig to the FPSC biped.

2) The face hugger will need totally custom animation (if you thought you could use rolfy's spider biped, think again, that thing is too complex for a Fragmotion import)

3)You haven't shown any evidence you actually have a game.

4) You're offering nothing in return.

I don't need glasses. I read that, but.... you don't have the prizes. You haven't won them yet. So you have nothing to offer in return

Quote: "I understand the work, but you don't understand crap"

then
Quote: "Wow. So I'm suppost to know that and all of a sudden become a genius modeling expert?"

uh well, according to your previous comment...yes.

And I understand my request is a chore but no
one is commenting in good nature or brotherhood.
It's just "no way" here and
"You're offering nothing in return" there."

Ha!

some of my first posts got slated. But quitting isn't the way forward. It doesn't matter what you are going to do, be it music production, graphic design, game dev, sport, whatever. You have to practice. If you want something done you have to learn how to do it yourself. Rigging in milkshape is pretty simple. Everyone says it's hard, but it's not. You could learn it in 3 hours. I have kids in my class who do!

Don't see this as an offence. Go practice, do this game yourself and prove us all wrong.

look forward to it

Good luck with that fata error.

Ok

I'd rather see a fully grown alien than a face-hugger and from what people have said, the face-hugger would be more work but surely someone will have a go at the predator.

Everyone needs to see the video trailer in this link before making the decision not to help. I don't think anyone would deny a demo with this theme would win a sci-fi level competition.

http://www.firstshowing.net/2007/08/24/first-r-rated-aliens-vs-predator-requiem-trailer/

You'll probably want a download for this trailer once you've seen it which you can get from here:

http://uk.media.movies.ign.com/media/746/746237/vids_1.html

Theres a bunch of people that could do this ASTEK. This might give you an unfair advantage in the competition having the best sci-fi creatures around but I agree it needs to be seen in FPSC. Hopefully fata error's quest will produce a lower poly model of the 2 perfect specimens.

[EDIT] Just read butter fingers post. Yeah in the long run it would be a good idea to learn character rigging yourself. I guess you can use these as your practice models. If I could do it for you I would as it would be seriously cool. I'll give it a go with milkshape and see if I can do anything that isn't completely laughable.

ASTEK, as many of the forum members here have been around for some time, and I notice that you have not, I'll try to explain this in terms that most people can understand....

Firstly, What Butters and indeed some of the other users have said is both completely true and totally honest.

Do not view their comments as Put downs or take them in ill favour due to this.

Begging, unfortunately will get you nowhere, and as stated , you're not offering anything in return for a modellers hard work in this case.

Working on the assumption that you actually win a prize for your efforts, is this prize in proportion to the multiple hours that a modeller would have to spend making this media?

No?

Slamming some of the more experienced memebers of this forum, is not the ideal way to proceed, we are around here and continue to be in order to help younger users understand the way that this community works.

In my experience, winning a level design competition or any other comp for that matter, has very little to do with the amount of models in the demo level.
If you're success is entirely dependant on two models, I would suggest reevaluating your product.
No game is hte sum total of its assets.

"I mean seriously, we might as well code a game ourselves. The AI is far to poor to sell even 2 copies of a commercial game we may have boxed and sent out."

All I can say, is that some people here are actually making games that are selling , oyu are letting your inexperience show by throwing your toys as soon as somehtign gets a bit hard.
Ask any of us around here, this takes work, lots of it.

I want to ask that you edit that post since I have read it. And I know you've sold games ZAKU. And my game was only dependant on the models because of the story it was based on. I'm almost done on a side project for the compo and I have made it our of an earlier concept. I've also been around much longer than you think on a different profile. I'm sorry I'm so asking and i know the work it takes. ( I mod games a lot and know how much of a brain buster it can be. )

I just had a REAL BAD week and I'm sorry for my selective post.
I'll try and be less of a butthole atound these parts.
