This is a desk model I am working on. I am going to give it away if anyone wants it.

I am actually looking for opinions, please let me know what you think.

You need it in FPSC!!! Or Fred P or a mod might lock or move this thread they're better off moving it.

Maya

for some reason, though when I place it in FPSC it comes out really tiny.. Like a miniature version of itself.

EDIT

I added it to fpsc, I get this with full lightmapping

also if I walk up to it, I collapse through the floor

You using the wrong scale of the model. Increase the model about 150 times in Maya.

One thing I'm wondering is why using Maya if you just started with modeling ? It's a professional tool where you need at last the basic modeling skills for.

Anyway the model looks nice for your first one.

Best , Oleg.

I bought maya about 3 years ago (thanks to the TV show (the screen savers) ) thinking I would become a great 3d artist. After I found out it was going to be hard work.. I shelved it. Now I have that bug again.

btw thanks for the kind words

Take a look at my second graphic that I posted on my third post, any idea why it would be glowing and changing the color of the room when I add a light to the room?

Could it be that I am not using lithunwrap and that the texture files are being referenced by the directX file to the png
