Im currently using 3dsmax for modelling, and was wondering if there was anything else out there that might be more suited to importing into dgdk? I have heard of milkshape and others..

Also mapping software! We are trying to make motorbike track but i only know od 3d world studio and some others i have seen on here such as cartography/gile/etc. But one of our team members was thinking of using 3dsmax aswell for mapping?

We cannot do .bsp only .dbo or .x

What would people recommend? So we can get the best out of it and make it look as good as possible!

thanks

I would use 3dsmax if you already have it, but loading 3ds files in the dbp engine (dbp/dgdk/dgdk.net) is going to be slow and possibly broken. There are exporters for DirectX for every version of 3dsmax from 3.1 to the current (9?) Look for Panda Exporter. DB_ will load x just fine. Unless you have something that does .dbo natively x is going to be the best bet methinks.

My DBP plugins page is now hosted [href]here[/href]
