Will we see some support for outside levels, as far as i know x9 uses a system in which the level sections load when the charecter comes to them, thats negated when the player is outside thus making the level laggy, will x10 fix this?

Thanks

I don't think that they are going to do so. Most gamers(not saying the FarCry fan)like the inside games. FPSC has allways been a inside game porgram. It would take a lot of scripting to do it, and to tell you the truth I'm ready for x10 to come out. I don't wana what for 9 more months for them to redo the program.

If anyone has Xbox live please add me to you're frinds list.
My tag is FruitlessCRUNK, but tell me who you are through a message.

Oudoor supprt would be a very nice feature. Maybe a outdoor expansion pack could be devolped at a later date.

You could make your own outdoor level.
And FPSC would run it well.

There are some games that have outdoor levels
and runs well.

Rolfy made 1, (Eldora (the Golden Land)
Dimoxinil made 1, (E.L.E.I, or something)
Disturbing 13 made 1, (Return to Enboca, sorry if i spelled wrong)
And my game (dont know a name yet) thread name is Test Level.

Anyway FPSC sort of "supports" outdoor levels.
The only problem is, you'll have to model the meshes of the level
all yourself.

That way you can delete unused polygons.
Which will increase the framerate.

Which will make outdoor levels more user friendly.

So it is already possible with FPSC X9, and X10 would be better
for outdoor scenes since it can handle more.

I think outdoor levels are ok in x9 so long as you are enclosed (ie can only see the sky)

Yeah, you can't have vast flat areas.

TGPEG.
Sorry didnt understand it?

Inspire.
Maybe with the stock meshes.
But if you make your own and delete every unused\unseen polygons
it would work very easy.

You can have outdoor areas in FPSC if you wish given that the FPSC world size is extremely small by modern game standards. Issues regarding gameplay speeds, frame rates and fps are the same regardless of whether levels are indoors or outdoors. There are many complex issues involved which are too complex to detail here now but some of which may be addressed in X10 and eventually perhaps filter back to the current versions.
