I had actually abandoned this since the new updates seemed to badly affect some of the larger custom characters,with some not appearing or the mesh was messed up.
I've been creating some new characters for my game and was having the same problems again,but found that when shaders are turned on things work perfectly,only when shaders are turned off do the models get corrupted.
This applies to all the larger characters that had problems,the large and wallcrawler spiders and the dragon.
All seem to work perfectly with shaders on.

So with that said I am just going to release this as is,it's not perfect and I dont have time to do much more to it just now with my game to work on.

The bot has a custom shoot script so he wont get too close to you and shove you off the map as he's fairly large,most other main a.i. scripts should work just dont change the shoot script.
It has walk,run,strafe and die anims and a bot gun,just remember to raise him off the floor a lttle when placing so he wont get stuck.
It works fairly well with waypoints.
The hit box is situated just under the belly so shoot him here.

I would have liked to spend more time on this redoing the textures and anims just for the heck of it,but I'm just too busy now.

Remember to turn shaders on,same for any of the other larger characters,if you find your framerate dropping with them on during a test level dont worry,just turn them off till you build and the fps should be fine in a built game.

Any other issues or problems with this model wont be fixed by me it works for you or it dont.

Unzip from the desktop and all should be placed in correct folders.

For use in commercial or non-commmercial games.

Try to turn shaders on.
Rolfy said that his models work better with shaders on.
Also did you installed it exactly like Rolfy said?
If not, then do so.
And also he said that further bugs he wouldt fix.

Yeah,try it with shaders on,if this wont work theres not a lot I can do,also it looks like you have changed the weapon,I was sure I had created a small cylinder as weapon for this using the blaster as a base,with some of the stock weapons the animations get frozen.

Errant AI,I created an animated track for your bots but haven't placed them on the model yet I will send it over to you when it's done.

Wow! I'd love to see that. I've been meaning to spruce up the little guy a bit so maybe this will be the kick in the pants I need.

Hey this is a great bot. I am having a little trouble with him thou maybe someone can help out. Im having trouble getting him to take the waypoints. Also seams like Im not able to hit him. I have shot his entire belly up lol.

Make sure you raise the model above the ground whenplacing in the editor use the PgUp key and use the follow script in main a.i..
If you dont want him to stop and turn when he sees you remove the shoot script.
It definately takes damage call it a weak spot.

looks freaking awesome, except for one thing- i placed him in the map, I raised him a above the ground a little, I put full shader effects on and everything but it just stands there with its ;left leg twitching. could you make a video of this so i can see what it does.

Ensure the script (botshoot.fpi) is in the scriptbank\people folder and assigned in the characters shoot ai.
You should also check that the weapon selected is the botgun as some of the stock weapons seem to freeze the animations.
