I'm trying to make a CD object for my quick game. I can't be bothered making it in a modeling program and messing with UVUnwrap etc to texture it so I thought I'd try it programatically...

I've made the disc shape by scaling a sphere, but now I need to texture it. Of course, my texture made in mspaint looks crap, but I can't see how I'm going to apply a square texture to the circular object.

Needless to say, when it's applyed it's all distored...

Can anyone help?

You'll have to use another progam. Its pretty simple. Open the model in a UVmapper program, add uv coordinates, and export a BMP texture. Your texture should look something like this:

Then color the circles like a cd, and texture in DBPro.

Or just texture a plain with a cd texture and set the object so it doesn't display the black pixels!!
