Hi all.
I made a model(with animation) in 3ds max and use panda direct x to export the model to X but than i went in dbpro to see the results in game but it appears that the model isn't like it was in the editor.
Any ideas why this is happening?
Here's a picture of how the animation looks:

Just a guess - as it's very difficult to make out what's going on from a picture, but try:

Backdrop On

at the start of your program.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it’s an exportation issue as Xenocythe suggested. I remember having similar problems with models exported from Unwrap 3D or maybe one of the other programs I use. Was quite a few years back so I really can't remember to well, cant remember what option caused it to do that either.

Anyway to cut a long and boring story about my crappy memory short, I'll do some testing and see if I can replicate the problem

No, sorry. I'm not familiar with much 3DS stuff, and today is the first time I have heard of Pandasoft.

I have been unable to replicate the problem I experience many years ago, so either I no longer use the application which was causing the problems or it is something possibly hardware or software related, seeing as the system I am currently using is not what I was using back then.

I'm about 95% sure it was an option that could be ticked upon exportation of the object that was causing the problem, but like I said it could be something hardware/software related that is in some way connected with that export option.

The only suggestion I have at the moment would be to try exporting in different formats and see if you get lucky. Hopefully you can find a working format that also supports your animations.

Sorry I can't be of any further help.

I was getting a similar problem earlier this week exporting a an .obj file from lightwave to UV map in milkshape.

In the end I had to export as a .3ds file and import that way.

Tehn once I had VU mapped export as a .x from milkshape (at this point the object wouldn't go back to lightwave in one piece either.

Try exporting as a different file type into something else then export as a .x

you could import the .3ds into blender (great free 3d program) then export as .x
blenders .x exporter works great for me

it can support .3ds, which you have

thisa is what I'd try first personally.

Chances are 3ds can't or doesnt like exporting as .x properly. so you'll have to find a work around.

I thought you said at eh top it was made in 3dsMAX? I don't own either but I'm pretty sure there not the same thing.

Build a simple model export it in different ways call each a unique name, ie "sphere3ds.3ds" or "sphereobj.obj" then use wahtever it is to try and convert them to .x files. It may be you just need to find the solution that is right for you. And it probably will take several atempts. I spent all of one evening getting mine to work.
