The gameplay is simple: Avoid the red ballz whilst collecting the green ones. Get as many green ballz as you can before you fail ... and you will fail!

This is your Ball. Use the arrow keys to steer it around the play area. If you go off the edge you will re-emerge on the other side.

These are the target Ballz. You need to collect as many as possible if you want to score well.

These are the enemy Ballz. Avoid them at all costs!

Every few seconds new enemy Ballz will spawn from beneath this. It is harmless and you can pass right beneath it but be carefull of your timing.

There are also bonus Ballz that appear at random intervals:

This Ball will increase the number of target Ballz available.

Freeze ... gives you 10 seconds of motionless enemy Ballz.

Bomb! Destroys all target Ballz in one fell swoop. Fantastic!

Makes your Ball invincible for a short period. During which time your Ball will turn gold. Be carefull though, there is no warning when your invincibilty will fail!

Slows the enemy Ballz to a crawl for a short time.

Funny thread-title, screenshot looks good.. downloading.

Edit: Nice game, even if it's all in all a bit slow. There seems to be an error with your highscore-system.. I reached 47 points and got First, though the 2nd had 50 points.. however, good work.

By the way, on your homepage you mentioned "Einstien", but I think you mean "Einstein".

Ben might get angry at this thread title, as he is also a coding cat.

Nice!

I agree that game seems a bit slow, but any faster and it would probably be too hard.

I was getting a great score, I think it was approaching 100 when game crashed with;

object already exists at line 906

Presumably you have assigned ranges for each ball type but those ranges need to be a lot larger.

The only other bad thing I don't like is size of green explosion when you collect a green ball. It lasts quite a long time and blocks your vision around your ball. Not good when there's lots of bad balls close to you.

Ok, I will reduce its size.

Thanks

Another thing, if possible, is to reduce the sudden dissapearance and reappearance of shadows as balls go off side of screen and reappear on other side. You make the shadow dissapear as soon as ball has left the screen. Also you nicely make ball reappear off screen on other side, but the shadow reapparers onscreen. I think it would look a lot nice if you gave a better margin around edge of screen, so that balls only moved after shadow fully exited.

This is really cool. THe shadows make the graphics really look great. I think maybe it's be better of the balls interacted with eachother, but the way it is is cool because your eye can kind of predict the path of each ball separately. It's kind of like those "bullet hell" shoot-em-ups.
Got 79. Going to try some more though.
Edit: 112

Pretty fun, although it would be cool if it had some collision.

Nice job.

Cool little game .

Yeah, that would be awsome. Like the balls hits each other and react as espected. However, that would make it harder. But it would still be awsome.

Awesome game! It looks really great. The only thing I noticed was that if you after you enter your name in the highscores, before pressing y/n, if you hold down enter, the ball that increases the number of target balls will fly around the screen

Bugger!

That was just a testing shortcut. I had meant to remove them before the final release.

Oh well, it is only yourself you are cheating.

Updating DirectX fixed the problem I had. This is pretty sweet! Although it's a very basic idea, it's still very creative and is well executed. Love the graphics. Keep it up!
