Instead of double posting about something you could have searched about why don't you search about the extra debug 0,0 message you keep getting?
You'll find that is the generic error message that FPSC gives you when it doesn't know what the error is (this has been covered a multitude of times).

It's always a good idea to keep any PC up to date with Direct X, the latest being (August-2007. Unless you are running Vista which you will have to update your x10.

I uninstall the patch.
I got more problems with these patch.
During level test he use more ram, about mor than 580000kb and that for but one chamber or 3 and a couple entitis.
I have a amd 64 athlon x2 dual gore. 2GB ram
at the previous patchen I do not have that

(sorry for my perfect English but I use altavista Babel fish translation)

I just installed it and put like 20 enemie with lights in 1 room and it ran with 25 frames per sec. It's sooo cool! I don't ever remember FPSC running this smooth!

Here is the redist package for the Aug2007 DX. It doesn't require auth and it is right from Microsoft and it is legal.

With this new update and the absolute latest DX I can only get 32 FPS in a room that is only one square big with a ceiling in it. If the room is bigger with 2-3 entities in it I get worse FPS.

Bloom FX...just one FX shader....bloom. please ! In my opinion, 1.07 is not a update and not a upgrade , its a BUGFIX !

X10 looks sooo beautiful. But for all XP users the water gets higer
and higher at the games market. X9 Gfx are good, but is it sooo difficult to implement bloom or something similar to get graphics a little bit better and competetive ?

If I had a wish for a real FPSC X9 UPDATE ...it would be something concerning the graphics. ( Shaders, resolution etc. )
I know those shaders are already available for Dark basic. And FPSC is written in DB. So pleeease, i know you guys got much work with X10. But please dont forget the persons who are true to x9 since the beginning.

can´t install this upgrade or any other above version 1.06 ( my current V ist 1.04 )
Name and key are correct... but i can´t change to the next screen.
Asked the support.. but if someone´s able to help me fisrt and quick ^^

ive reinstalled windows XP and then FPSC. i installed V1 and applied the 1.06 Patch. In Fpsc it says version 1.04. Think its one of those little bugs never mind

yeah...thats the ticket !

Try going to:

Start -> Controll Painel -> Add/Remove Applications

Scroll down and double click the patches to uninstall them.


PS: I haven't done this, but i start seing more and more games and applications that we can uninstall pacthes this way, just check it and say if it helped or not.

If it works, i suggest you unisntall everything, then install the model packs you buyed and only after all model packs isntalled, install this patch, and everything should work by then.

Yep that did it, just out of curiousity, with the new patch, has anyone done any tetsts on how many enemy characters in one room and all working with good frames, whats the best you have got.

was they zombies or ones shooting, zombies seem to use less PC power, plus was all 20 doing something, or was some frozen.

Hey guys, I was having trouble with my serial, but I found what the problem was (for me at least).

Simply put, I was looking at the wrong serial number. I was accidentally using the one for FPS Creator EA instead of the one for V1. Yes, when you upgraded to V1 you should have received a new serial number, at least I did

Just tested this patch, still only 2 enemies doing something at once, occasionally by rare fluke some others will do something, is there any scripts to make more than 2 characters do something, having characters frozen on the spot and only 2 working, till you walk past them then the old 2 stop and the 2 closest do something, not good at all, in fact really really bad.

Id have to dump dx9 if there is no solution past this, this is unuseable with only 2 characters active, anyone got round this flaw.

Spawn characters using triggers only when needed. Give each character a different main and shoot script from other characters active nearby. Give them 360 vision and set always active to yes. Try and only have at the most, 4 active nearby at the same time. Maybe only allow level progression when the nearby enemy have been destroyed. I use the technique of opening a door when the enemy have been destroyed to allow progession.

sorry for such a late post haven't checked in a while so Ross tra damus i can't upgrade my direct x cause the comp that i have with fpsc doesn't have itnernet so u cant upgrade it. it would be helpful if someone new how to install later direct x without needind internet and bybassing internet verification

Microsoft supply a redisributable version of Direct X (redist). Ask a friend to download it for you and either burn it to a cd or put it on a 'USB' memory stick.
If you have bought one of the latest games recently you will find a copy of the 'redist' Direct X on the disk/disks which might be the one you need.
