I don't really like lasagna, which is odd, since I like most every other type of pasta. Perhaps I had a traumatic lasagna-related incident as a young child and suppressed the memory.

Well I figured that since I wasn't a psychiatrist that I couldn't give any worthwhile advice. And I don't even know you well enough to give you social advice.

I suggest you find professional help elsewhere instead of bringing it to a usually joyful and off-topic thread on a small message board for game programming and the like.

Only advice I can give you on this subject is to not physically harm yourself.

Chill man, nobody here is wanting do any harm to you - the mods aren't here with the purpose of banning, but just to keep order in this place.

I'd be happy to post advice on here, except I do no possess the knowledge to do so, I know barely anything about aspergers and it's a problem that's probably too specialised for most people to be able to give advice about. You might get lucky and find somebody that does. Personally, I wouldn't know where exactly you could get help.

But is there anybody you can talk to? A doctor, a teacher, a friend, a nurse, a colleague, a boss? An internet forum like this one will mean you have a thin chance of getting useful advice, not because nobody cares, but because people aren't necessarily educated enough to give it. This thread is probably the worse place to look to, because all people come here to do is write a load of tripe.

However, if the internet really is the place you want help, I did a quick google search and it appears there's a forum for those dealing with autism and aspergers, perhaps it'll be of use to you:

I've never bothered visiting this thread before (), but I figured I could ask a question of such triviality that it wouldn't do to post in a new thread;
where is the $ key placed on you people's keyboards?
It has come to my attention that my country's setup doesn't seem to be the most standard one, which would explain a bit better why such a key is used so often in various programming languages (*cough* php...).

I for myself have it at Alt Gr + 4, which I find a rather annoying combination; I have to move my hands completely each time I want to use it

I'm sorry if I interfere with something you're doing here (the name "competition" seems to suggest this).

Shift-4. I'm not even sure what "Alt Gr" means. And you're not interfering, the only reason we're still keeping points is because of bmac. Mostly we just post random stuffs.

Oh, I see.
There I have the very useful symbol 'ยค'.
Alt Gr is sort of a secondary alt key. I need it to write '@', as well as some other symbols. It basically works like the shift key, but adds a third layer to the keys (only applicable on some though).
The annoying thing is that it is really inconveniently positioned way down on the right.

Well, thanks for the very quick answer
