The creepeth of thy darkening tides has led you astray to this unnwavering precipuce. Welcome the compettion.

The first thing you did wrong was to assume you could reason with a insane man that he is infact sane, or is that the other way around? Its getting hard to tell with this bleed over, these passing shards cling to the hope of being whole, beliving in something more than these slides of corpses.

grr, why does she tease me so? It must be a game to her and i must be her advocate, a puppet by her whim.

Sleep, you can see her when you sleep.

Page two hundredandfifty. I just went to the dentist and she was not very gentle at all and my teeth hurted and then I went to a restaurant and got a $14 steak that was not very good at all because it was cooked too fast and charred and yuck.

I will live forever or die trying.

Just crippled my hand playing White Christmas on t'piano. Spent an hour and a half trying to learn it - still hesitant, still half-sight-reading it as I go along, but the 10 note (octave and a major third) stretches on some of the left hand chords are a beast. They're used pretty sparingly, but still it's mullered my left hand now - hurts between the 4th and 5th fingers. Guess I should have given up and spread them sooner... Oh well...

@demons breath:
I'm not giving up working on my level editor, I can just tell I'm not meant to be a programmer (at least for a career). I still enjoy "casual coding" and am still going to study programming languages, because for some reason my brain wants to.

I've recently been given a couple of books on programming in C++, and I must say it doesn't look nearly as complicated as it used to. Of course, these books are from the mid 90s ('94-'96), so I imagine a lot of it has changed, but the general layout and whatnot appears to be the same. And the fact that it's in a book makes it so much easier for me to study.

EDIT:

Holy cow. The answer is so blindingly simple that I can't believe I didn't think of it for over a day and a half!

The user can create up to 100 platforms in a level. Since I'm going to have three different types of platforms, I can divide my "Platform" variable up into three (or four, for better rounded numbers) and assign an ObjectPath$ variable to each divided section in the file saving routine. Maybe I'll up the numbers so that there can be 100 of each platform created, but the maximum amount of total platforms cannot exceed 100. I like this idea, and it will work. So bleeding simple...(No I'm not British, I just like the way you guys talk. )

Just a suggestion, you could have an extra array which stored the platform type for each variable number, then just change your code so that when you create an object it also assigns a number related to the platform type to the array entry. This could be extended so that you basically only needed one system for all objects, and instead of having to have seperate functions for platforms and coins it could all be in one. Sorry typing in a rush...

@demons breath:

Arrays still prove confusing to me (even after seeing examples posted by Venge and Seppuku), but I appreciate the suggestion nonetheless. For now my "solution" (if it can be called that) will work, though I will change it in the future once I figure arrays out.

My brother is being an absolute jerk to me today. He's inventing stories to try and get me in trouble with my parents, and slammed the bedroom door on me several times. My laptop was in there, so I had to push the door open to go in and fetch it. This resulted in him throwing himself against the floor, claiming that I knocked him over (when he wasn't even holding the door closed at the time I opened it). Luckily, my parents sided with me and know he can be a hassle. ::sigh:: I need a drink (don't worry, something like cocoa, not beer. )

No; since I'm 18 and he's 12 he could legally sue me in the states. Also, killing is against my beliefs and well-being. And also, I couldn't; he's stronger than me and could end up killing me.

I hope not lil marioman, i have done a great deal of things in my life, no of which i can call 'great'

On the upside, season two granted him redemption, a dream which he could live out, though theres a problem when your dreams become truth, You have no other reason to exsist. So continue forth on maddened desecent Lelouch, you seem to be nostalgic on familar grounds...

Exactly. A dead person cant file a law suit. But, if its against your beliefs to kill, I could arrange for a little, uh... accident to happen.

So what if I talk to myself? Its the only way i can have an intelligent conversation around here.

I never said it was bad to be different to me; I said I didn't know it was possible to believe killing is bad.

Quote: "6th of the 10 commandments:"

Except that the rest of the bible says that murder (Or to be more precise, stoning to death) is an expectable punishment for disobedient children, homosexuality, atheism, divorce and adultery. So that seems only to apply to Christians. Now don't get me wrong, I think killing Christians is bad... bud isn't killing anyone bad?

True point, but sins do have to have a punishment, which is death. It goes back to the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil: "If you guys eat of it, the punishment is death. Please don't eat of it, or you'll die. Srsly." (that's the way I say it, essentially). And then that possessed snake decided to tempt Eve, and welcome to the world as we know it.

Now let's keep this from getting too religious and start talking about cheese. Happy Cheesecake, that's your cue.

Should the snake be punished for that?
Also, if killing is bad, and the punishment for being bad is death... hang on, what? that makes no sense.

The snake is Satan, AKA the devil. And yes, when Judgment Day comes, that snake is getting punished with death ('tis discussed in Revelations).

Quote: "if killing is bad, and the punishment for being bad is death... hang on, what? that makes no sense"

Hmm. Interesting point. But think of it this way; evil has to be vanquished since sin will not be able to present in Heaven and can't be in the presence of God, meaning that it has to be killed. I believe there is something called "Righteous Anger" that God can possess when needed. I can see where you're coming from and the points you are making (they're pretty darned good points and hard to try to explain). I respect your beliefs and am not trying to convert you over the internet, I'm just stating my beliefs as well.

Now seriously; HC, where are you?

Hc, you werent quick enough...

Back off con, hold your restraint. You know what happens when you play in red flames...

Death is natural, murder inaccuseable, Thier is no such thing as killing one person... You kill thier mother, thier farther, their lover, thier son an daughter. We do not exsist to bring pain against another. We should be more than that.

But were not... so we turn to hopes written over 2000 years ago, as a relife to our mortality. I can not deny people happiness if they find it, then may peace follow.

If they dont, then may they rest upon a lightened sky and live free of sorrow. We cannot hope for more than bliss.

If a book gets you thier, if a song placates you, if a sight beceah's you then what is the difference?

Petty sqabbles over nothing.

hummphh and yet you bring us back down con.
Lemourantis? why is it that you let me look through your eyes to see these, things...

Because Conor, you need to see the world as we do.
I hate you sometimes...
I know but ignorance has no place here.
