i know this is very noobish, but how does my friend join hook up to my IP address? i already have my IP address i just don't know how he joins it. thank you very much for your response.

Send him the multiplayer game, and he types in your IP when he wants to join in the game, simple!

You don't have to type the I.P in, the game your friend hosted should come up in a list, all you do is type the game number, which is next to the game on the list.
