Windows vista isn't supported, that's probably the problem. Powerful system, wrong OS.

it works fine for me.
Quote: "I have nere sucesfully built a game"

it probably because you haven't set fpsc to have admin settings on it
if you don't have admin settings on it, the game will not appear after build.
1. go to C:\Program Files\The Game Creators\FPS Creator
2. right click on an .exe file(application) and click properties.
3. go to the compatibility tab and tick "Run this program in compatibility for: Win XP(service pack 2)" and "run this program as an administrator"
4. click apply and OK.
5. do steps 2-4 for all the .exe's in this folder

and about the light maps not working, this happened to me once

I hate when people say that the fact that it works fine is irrivalent, Either way its not supported and may work differently on a different vista PC

this said, it works just as well on Vista for me (without any compatibility settings) as it ever did on XP

Well...... If you're PC is the same brand IN THEORY it should work the same. Why I don't know but that's what I found on HP's web site.

If anyone has Xbox live please add me to you're frinds list.
My tag is FruitlessCRUNK, but tell me who you are through a message.

2005, they might've changed it recently.
the copy I have is a retail version from before they officially released it, as I was doing the Technical Support for the product during Early Adopter up to June 2006.

If it has "Vista" compatible then your copies must be 2007, because Vista wasn't even released in beta for developers until fairly late 2006 (just after I gave up tech support)

The product does work on Vista just as well as it does on XP/2000.
Just for note sake, I also run Vista Ultimate 32-bit.

I would strongly suggest making sure all drivers, and updates are installed for Vista. As I had no end of trouble with older GeForce 5200 cards throwing up that error with the Vista Reference and NVIDIA 96 Forceware drivers.

Probably something to do with how DBP supports resource loading, as it was only an issue with DBP/FPSCreator things, however the lastest drivers for GF6/7/8 this problem seems to have disappeared.

Mine is a different cover (like olliday's) and says (c)2006, they must have redone the cover.

and mine.
i think this thread has tuned into "show off your fpsc CD case cover and see whether you version of fpsc is compatible in vista thread" sorry about that because i was the first to do that. it was to only show that my case said it was compatible with vista.
so back on topic: I'm sure its that its because of the "run as admin" has not been ticked on the exe's because my game would not appear correctly before i ticked them.

The intention is not posting covers, but I want show the other cover simply.

Hmm... I also have the same cover as Raven, bought it last Xmas from a local store.

That yellow version looks more like a cover for a program, while mine could be mistook as a action game.

Dunno, could it be a PAL (european) version?

just go to the link of fpsc creator on your start menu, and right-click > properties. (or 'run in administrator mode')
then go to the compatibility tab, and check the "run in admin mode" at the bottom, then ok.

but i'm fairly sure the issue is going to be driver related.

i also recoment doing it for all the exe's in the fps creator folder. ( C:\Program Files\The Game Creators\FPS Creator )
