I would say yes... More often than not if a demo/trial won't run on your computer neither will the full version of the software...

What are your computer specs?
Do you have the latest version of direct X installed on your PC?
Do you have the latest Video drivers for your video card?
How much Ram do you have installed on your PC?

I'm betting your computer doesn't meet the system requirements in order to run FPSC. But if your PC does meet the minimum requirements, then its probable need a direct X or Video driver update

Minimum Requirements
Window XP Home / XP Pro
Pentium 3, 1Ghz (or equivalent)
256MB RAM
CDROM Drive
1.4 Gigs of Hard Drive Space (+space for created games)
DirectX 9.0c+
DirectX 9.0 compatible Sound Card
DirectX 9.0 compatible Mouse and Keyboard
DirectX 9.0 compatible Video Card (3D Hardware Accelerated) with
at least 64MB of memory.

Recommended
Window XP Home / XP Pro
Pentium 4, 2.66 Ghz (or equivalent)
1GB RAM
CDROM Drive
1.4 Gigs of Hard Drive Space (+space for created games)
DirectX 9.0c
DirectX 9.0 compatible Sound Card
DirectX 9.0 compatible Mouse and Keyboard
DirectX 9.0 compatible Video Card (3D Hardware Accelerated) with
at least 128MB of memory
