Does anyone else ever have a large invisible box that prevents the user from colliding with the pollygons of a dynamic model? Is there a way around this? Thanks.

...yes. FPSC uses box collision with all dynamic entities.

There is no workaround at this time. Believe me, many have focused on this very subject.

Static allows the proximity that we all seek, but doesn't allow script function.

So even characters have boxes arround them? Darn...


I was going to make a ridable tank and it would work if it wasnt for this. Oh well.

Then the player can jump off of the tank which isn't what I want. Maybe they will fix this in X10...

I'm pretty sure there is settings for collision other than box, or at least there was in V1. It's certainly in the source, I can tell ya that.

Yes can get into a dynamic item and make it move look at the inside helicopter thread I did also check out the lift that rolfy posted thats a dynamic object as well.

its simple. collision mode is in the FPE of all entitys. there is box, polygon, and many other collision mmodes...i would know, when i programmed E.C.S. i put the ability to choose your collision mode, and i made sure it worked.

@ Black terror : Its all still a wip and when the method is to a point im happy i will be releasing.

@ Bullshock : ou right you do need to change the FPE for the collision modes and its a good starting point.
