What do you all think

Thanks, that is kind of the plan. I am working on some ideas for quite a few huds that I plan to give away.

The designs are done in fireworks, I will probably do a few in photoshop so that I can do some a little fancier.

Do you have any thought about styles that you might find pretty cool

Holy crap the daily show is on, time to go.

It is for FPSC. It is going to be a converstation hud that allows you to have conversations with npcs

I can initiate a conversation with the character, but I do have a few problems with regards to a few other features I am trying to implement.

The script does get large pretty quick if you have a decent conversation going on.

My goal is to be able set the hud up to give the game a more rpg element. Like how you interact and answer question will ultimatly effect the outcome of the game, as well as what weapons you find.

Having some pain with the scripting, but I will have it all worked by next weekend.

I am going to provide 6 basic huds and source file so that you can edit for your own conversation purposes.

I am heading to bed, so if anyone has any questions or suggestions leave them and I will respond in the morning.

I stink at RPG's... Good anyway... I'm probably going to get Borderlands coming soon... There's really nothing on it right now at this time... But, It's RPG and FPS merged together... Anyways... Good work Jeremiah.

That is awesome, looks fantastic, great job. So, does it pretty much make it like conversations in the game:
Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic
That's cool. Keep it up.

I have now gotten a 3 length conversation going, I have add so I keep getting distracted as I got through the FPI

Something tells me I am really going to have to spend 2 3 days documenting the code and letting everyone know what goes where and what to change themselves.

Jeremiah

The whole concept of what you have shown here is refreshing to see and I agree with many others that FPSCreator could be (and is used) for more than just 'run & shoot' type of games.
With the ideas and skills that you and many others are producing I can see a good RPG element a real possibility for the future.

It's a great idea and I would love to see this develop further.

All the best on this one.

I hope you get this done. I could use it to make the game seem less of an "all alone shooter."

I have it currently working. I have a few bugs to get rid of, but for the most part it is running great. I did have at first a few problems getting huds to disapear and problems with loops that seem to repeat forever. But these are now all resolved.

btw, thanks for great feedback. It means alot and makes me want to create more scripts.

The only real big hassle is the need to use more than one fpi script in order to interact effectively. I hope I can figure out a better way. Though it does keep the code alot cleaner
