Calm down TGPEG, at least explain a little bit about why it won't.

@ EAST Programming
As you can tell this has been asked a lot, well there buddy it won't be for xp. But some of the upgrades will be downgraded so that the xp version can use it.

We all want to be awesome, but does awesome want to be us?

Bit of a shame, as I personally have a perfectly good rig and DX9 can do most of the things DX10 does anyway (Vista is also a DRM infested memory whore and is rather expensive to get the same features as xp). Basically, I'll be happy when they back port all the stuff, I'm really looking forward to it.

A simple search could have answered your question.
The long and short of it is that direct x 10 works differently from direct x 9.Therefore you need direct x 10 and Vista because XP does not support direct x 10.
No matter what you are told or what fairy tales you may have read about on the web direct x 10 applications will not work with Windows XP.

Please have mercy and use the search function.
