It seems like when i install the V1 version of FPSC on my vista machine it works fine.

When i use the V1.07 version of FPSC on my vista computer it does not work.

The error that i am given is something like:

"please install the october addition or later of direct x"

This is strange because i bought the computer with X10 and Vista already installed on it -with an 8 seres graphics card and 1 gig of ram-.

If anybody has this error or can offer any help it would be great.

Cheers
Nick

Upgrade Direct X9. Regardless of whether or not you have DX10. You may have DX10 without having DX9, as they are two separate things.

Vote today and play the games!

But don't ask TGC for help... Remember, FPSC 1.07: if it runs on Vista, it's purely by accident, and TGC won't provide any help with it (unless they're feeling nice)

My box doesn't say it runs on Vista. It says Windows XP/2000.My ubderstanding is that if you have Vista you can boot your computer in XP mode and then FPSC should run just fine (provided you upgraded your direct x like was advised to you previously).
I don't own Vista yet (of course,at some point,I will) so I can't swear to it...just telling you what I read.
FPSC was basically designed around the XP system so if you run in Vista mode then FPSC working is not guarenteed.

Please have mercy and use the search function.

I run FPSC on vista and it works fine, haven't had a problem as of yet. I did however had to install DX9c before it would work. DX10 wouldn't run it on my system.
