Hello everyone I have a question on how thick these units need to be.

How thick is a Wall?
How thick is a door?
How thick is a door frame?
How thick is a window glass pane?
How thick is a window?
How thick is a window frame?

I am using 3ds Max and I know it should be 100x100x100 for a segment cube. What I am trying to do is make some custom doors and windows and hole cut outs for the walls but want to make sure everything is too scale.
Any help would be great, I can't find anything in th eforums on this.

Thanks in advance.

What I normally do is load the window, Door or whatever and resize my model to fit them. But i use gamespace so it might not work with 3DS Max

Hope this works

Here this may help http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=114510&b=24

but i think you should build your own mesh measurements for your media!

Have a look at X Games NEW website!

Guys, I already know 100 Units is equal to 1 segment. That is not what I am asking.

How thick should I be making the frames and windows all that stuff that will punch thru the walls is what I need to know.

I know 100x100x100 is segment cube in FPCS with Max. And that each unit is 1 inch real life.

Just open up one of the entities in 3ds max and look at the panel and you should see the depth of the object

you could just edit them but a list would be helpful.

There's a measuring tape in Max.

This only applies to primitives created in Max.

This is all fairly basic stuff and can be found in the manual.

Then place the object next to a primitve you created in 3dm and then resize the primitive to exactly match
