Surely a little plugin could be written MrTAToad to do an HTTP request to a website and store result in a string or something. This could be really useful to someone like me who does a lot of server-side web scripting with macromedia coldfusion.
You could run some database queries by calling a url, e.g. http://www.whatever.com?var1=1&var2=45&var3=67
This would create a web page which you could capture and do stuff with.
I could do a really good global high score system with this! Rather like the one in PneumaticDryll's Asteroids game, only better!
