I am bulding a TGCPG Leech Squad. The Leech Squad will be in charge of finding torrents of TGC products, and loading them down with leeches! It will eventually override the seeders, causing the torrent to be useless!

Anyone who wishes to help out, will be briefed on the Official TGC Piracy Guard forums at: http://www.egidesign.net/forums!

Torrents are delicate, and can be easily un-repairable once too many leechers are present, which would take years to unleach!

You can't shut down a site in Korea! Its legal there so physically its funny that you think it can be totally stoped! But I'd love to help LIMIT it.

What will you be loading them with exactly?

Patience and tolerance are the keys to the passage of knowledge. Even the ones that know the most started with many questions.

Because, when the leechers override the seeders, it causes the torrent to loose speed, and heath, causing it to fumble and become useless!

Do you understand the principal of a torrent? You can't stop it by 'loading it down' with leechers. It is an ambiguous term (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terminology_of_BitTorrent)

Since all connections are peer to peer, there is no webserver to overload, adding in extra peers does nothing. In fact, you would have to download the file yourself (which is illegal), and even then it automatically seeds (leechers can still seed). In fact, you probably won't even get connections unless you are seeding at the same time, which is a method designed to prevent this sort of thing (unless you use a special client).

In essence, by downloading the file, you are also distributing it to other people, which in fact improves the speed of the torrent. Unless you go about attempting the 'ping of death' on some individual ips (also illegal), you will not be able to stop it.

I'll do a little example here (<> means sharing of data both ways)

seeder
<_________>
leecher<>leecher
<>________<>______<>_______<>
leecher<>leecher<>leecher<>leecher

Basically, initially it will slow the torrent down, but as you get more of the file, it will actually speed it up, as there are more download sources (it is co-ordinated so that each of the clients in the 'swarm' downloads different parts of the file, then shares them with each other). Also You can have 99% of the file and still be classed as a leecher, even if you are actually uploading.

I hope that explains everything clearly. Wikipedia is your friend in these instances

I understand how they work, I know how they work. If you have enough leechers, and seeders are tired of lag, they will quit, causing the torrent useless!

Technically, the download speed would be split, although if you aren't uploading yourself, you would probably get refused a connection. It isn't like a network game. The system is designed to be more efficient the more people there are (in theory, millions of people could connect at once). It isn't worth tying your internet connection up for. Best case, you do manage to remove all the seeders. Then you go onto the next site, and then the first one gets reseeded...

I like to think I care, and in my honest opinion I beleive it isn't worth stressing yourself over this. I think these threads ought to be locked, but they could sticky the weblink so people who are interested in this could visit your forum. Topics such as this which carry such scope for personal opinions quickly become heated.

Ehhhmmm, if I may?

It works over servers. These servers are slow when a high ratio of leechers to seeders, causing the torrent to slow, then become unavalible.

@ crispex

You are not forming a serious crew, as you can already see nobody really wants to help you do this useless job thats not going to work and im sorry if i affended you, but really all ive heard in this thread is that you should just drop it, so really i think this should just be locked.

Plus, as everybody has already stated, its pretty much impossible anyway, and it would take you along time, so really i think its pointless. Its not like the piraters are taking over the forums or something, i just did a search and there isnt that many torrents out there right now, and really i dont think they are going to grow ever since that one guy got caught on the forums, he has probably left fpsc and moved on with his life.

Locked!!(ah dang i forget im not a mod)
