REM Create object sphere 1
Position Object 1,100, 200, 300

I don't own DBC yet..but I downloaded DarkEDIT just to get the feel of programming.

I'm asking if I made a cube like the code suggests and wanted to place it on X, 100, Y 200, and Z 300 (basically I'm just messing around), do I need to type in the axis letter before the code, or what?
Just curious...

Get rid of REM for REM Create object sphere 1
You created a sphere.

Also, if you want to view what has happened, without making a loop,
add Wait Key

One more thing, if its at 100,200,300, you cant see it. Try 0,0,0 first.

OK..excellent. I'm just trying to get the feel of programming, so it will be a little while until I actually get DBC.
I've got another little problem...

For a game that I plan on making in the VERY distant future (after I learn the basics to DB programming and all that jazz), I want to control the camera like it's a character. But I need a sledge hammer to swing down on the enemy in front of the camera (the camera is the players eys) when a certain key is pressed. Would I say something like:

I know that probably ninety per cent of that is wrong, but that's why I'm asking. Can someone give me a general idea of how this may be accomplished?
Thanks in advance!

There's probably a way to make it swing automatically but I did a 7 hour shift this morning from before 7 and a did a 5 hour late shift last night so I'm half dead today

You do know that in the meantime you can download a free trial of DBC to play with don't you?

Yes, I downloaded it a while ago, and it only gave me three hours of playing around with it before it gave me this message:

TRIAL PERIOD OVER: THANK YOU FOR TRYING DARKBASIC!!

Personally, I don't mind that that happened. I just found it weird. I was able to mess around with it enough that I know I could do games after some practice and debugging.
Hopefully, I will get it soon, but right now I just can't. And top of all of it, it looks like we're having computer problems, I have to back up some of my near-and-dear files before it's too late.
So if I disappear for a while, you'll know why.

OK..why it id that all in a quote box is beyond me.

But I forgot to comment in my last post

QUOTE: "Actually, it would be Make Object Sphere 1, Size"

I have to type 'size' after I make the object? Does this mean that I could use the XYZ axis to programatacally morph the mesh to my needs?
Like I could make the X axis 5, Y 5, and Z 10, just to give it an oblongish shape?
Once again, just curious. And tips someone can give me would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
