I am using dbpro and when i click the make exe run command it takes about 15 seconds till anything show up on the screen. Which really wouldn't be so bad but even after i have a compiled exe and click it to run it still takes the same amount of time to start up. Could someone take a look at my code to see if there is anything i can do to speed it up a little. Thanks

Can't see anything wrong. Only possibility is you are running with patch 4 and have an ATI graphics card as patch 4 had a huge delay bug. This was fixed in p4.1

did you by any chance have DarkBASIC Standard before DB Pro?

Because DB standard compiled straight away while Pro has as you said 15 seconds compilation time.

If so then there's nothing you can do.

You can however ensure that you are not attaching and/or compressing media during startup. This you only need do when you distribute the final build of the game.

Your the lucky one, when I was working on my fractal world generation routines I could be waiting anything up to 45 minutes starting up to test some theories...
