Does anyone know if they make programs for FPSC That Apply Blur Effects To Your Levels? And Do They Make Programs That Have Dark And Light Effects (Lets Say You Enter A Dark Room. It Takes A Second For Your Eyes To Adjust To The Dark. Then You Exit The Room, Back Into The Sunlight And It's Blindingly Bright. Again It May Take A Second Or Two For Your Eyes To Adjust) Like In Half Life 2? If They Did, Imagine How Much More Real Your Levels Would Look? They'd Look Like Something Out Of A Next-Gen Consle Game!

Yeah, What PresFox Said. It's Kinda Annoying.

Anyhow, as for your questions, there are neither any blur effects nor any High Dynamic Range effects available for FPSC at this time, unfortunately.

Nighthawk's mod does it as well.

And you can fake it by scripts and full screen overlays.

right there

you should search for my Bloom Mod (or scroll down the thread list)
there's no bug-free final version, but the beta is working

the thread is called "Nothing is impossible..."

LOL

I don't think his thread needed much in the way of advertising but you were right to point it out.

It was a relief to see someone actually pulling something like that off even if it's not bug free just yet. Not that I had any doubt FPSC X9 was capable of such things. Just someone like Nighthawk to come along with the right kind of knowledge to unlock it.

Hopefully TGC will have seen this by now and will make a real effort to improve the shader aspect of X9 in the future. I'll be disappointed if they don't. Nothing has been done with the shader files since v1 came out and I think it deserves some attention.

Maybe then you will have your blur effects etc. You can use scripting to dynamically change the ambience of your level dynamically during play in regards to 'daylight effects'.
