Spent tonight working on this, 238 polys, need's a texture but it's a start:

Addmitedly the wireframe is a bit of a mess (Triangulated) but I tryed to keep the poly count down as low as possible so it meant making massive back faces.

CC welcome and I WILL post a wireframe if anyone wants one, I'll add a texture soon as well.

Interested in seeing Wireframe. Nice mesh, but it looks like a cardboard prop in a play.

Uhhhhhhh.... I forgot

as said above its a bit thin even for a fender..

prolly needs to be double width mebe a bit more.

other than that its the right shape if you know what I mean.

Thanks, I'll thicken it up tonight, and get some bevel on those edges.

I think he may have just used a spline and drew over the picture, that makes the mesh horrible.

nah, I actually made it from polygons, then used cinema4d's extrude tool for it, splines are HORRID for poly counts.

Not if you use them properly. I've used it making my AK47.

Plus it doesn't matter what version you're using, I've played with version 6 and demos of 9 and 10 and found that everything has stayed pretty much in the same place, just certain minor differences that aren't difficult to overcome.

Add some dimension to it. Make the base of it bigger than the handle, not the same width, for one thing. Also taper the handle or whatever its called as it reaches the top on the z axis, just as you've done with the x. It'll make it a lot less boxish.
