Great! Now I can port .NET framework to work with Gamecube and release my own "GNA Framework" and nobody will want to code with XNA

I'd say its worse than that - Think Linux - Think Open source - someone will see how they do something - write their own code - make a system that works - then Microsoft Will try to sue.

Just a cynical guess.

They are quite good in some respects, there is an enterprise web application that they have called Stock Trader, Its an example of a Service Orientated Architecture solution. Not only do they allow you to download the source, they also say, feel free to get into the code, see how it works and use the code in your own applications. They have event separated a controlling sub system for the application which they have done deliberately to allow people to just slot it into their own solution.
