The details on the top look really nice, especially for a quick job. Would be nice to see a rusted up version too.

Maybe the propane tanks are different in the Ohio, but here in Toronto they're much shorter than that (if you're talking about the types used in BBQ's). The height is usually about the same as the width.

I used to live down the street from Worthington Cylinders and Steel where my dad works, I've seen tanks of every shape and size. You're right, it's too tall for a bbq grill but I can assure you they have tanks like that. It's about the right proportions for the liquid nitrogen tanks in the back of the factory, just way smaller as the actual ones are huge. (Think Terminator 2)

Now that I think about it, it looks more like a tank from an air compressor.

There is no set height or width for propane tanks.

I wonder if I would get propane tea if I turned the valve

Less blinns! Propane tanks tend to have a duller finish to them, correct? Nice model nevertheless

Simple Answer: No you wouldn't
Complicated Answer: You so totally uber would!

It looks good, but I think perhaps this is an opportunity for working on photo realistic lighting techniques...Perhaps tried the 8 point lighting method (as opposed to 3 point light) and adjust the light and material settings until you get something realistic - use an image as a reference.

Then perhaps texture it, dirt included.

I love Nancy DrewG, but not insert brain here

Imagine the caffeine, you'd be up for days doing everything at 10x speed!

Looks nice, what is that image rendered in by the way?

That gnarly checker texture makes me think 3D Canvas Pro, however I am probably wrong.
