This isnt the title for the game, i do not have one yet, but anyways here is the story:
Humans are forced to live underground after a devastating nuclear war. The few survivors live in the lower stories of former buildings which are covered in ash. One certain group of surviors live under the foundation of a former city. One day, they hear explosions above them. They did not know that parts of above-ground civilization survived, and that they had been discovered. The war starts again, but this time, it is taken to a different level. You play as a defense soldier patroling the top of the complex, when you hear the mufled explosions. Boarded up walls suddenly crash, and enemy troops begin the attack. You must fight your way out of the unsafe areas and retreat to a stronghold while humans attack you. The humans are different than us now. They are radioated and posioned from the nuclear blasts.

These pictures are from the first level, where you first hear the attackers. There are no enemies yet. This also features ButterCutter, which has helped incredibly. Also, thanks to rolfy for the burnt car. I cant get the first link to work, so you have to click downlaod and open.

I think it looks very nice and the story is original. If people tell you to fill up the rooms I would suggest not to. Because the way you have the entities placed is impressive and sets the tone. You are underground, what are they supposed to fill the rooms up with? wait the aren't rooms they're tunnels. See where I'm going with this? continue with this style.

Thanks. I am going to model up some piles of ash to make the tunnels seem less boxy. I also just downloaded the train car by xplosys which will add to the effect. (Thanks!) I didnt even show a picture of the bulldozer coming out of the ceiling. What do you guys think for enemies? I was thinking about using the MP1 SAS with a retexture, or should i try something different like the MP4 Hazmats???

That looks really good!

And I think that you should use the SAS troopers.

I think you should add more lighting. Although it is supposed to be a dark area, you really can't see alot in the screens

What about "The Aftermath" for your name

Meh...

Screen 4 is very nice

And the storyline is very original, not a "OMG-radiaton-making-killer-mutants-and-the-player-must-survive" cliche story that is always linked to nuclear disaster games.

Hope all goes well for you,
Paul

Thanks for the feedback. As for lighting, these images were taken on 1 ambience, which was my build game setting, and turned out darker than i wanted. As for the name, i like "The Aftermath". Butt monkey, credit will be given if i decide on that.

Wow, I took a look at your screenshots again. They still look sweet! I love that one with the trailer halfway through the ground.

Nice... it's lookin' very mysterious and cave-like to me. No suggestions needed... as it already looks perfect! I hope to see more progress of this game!

What is the best scrip for having an enemy follow waypoints, and then attack you, like taking cover for example? I have them either follow, or shoot, but cant get em to do both!

I Like The way it looks also. I'd really like to play it when it is completed. How about "DARK Shadows" for a game title ?. I not sure if that name has been taken already or not. Just a suggestion.

I'd use the specialist, but retexture the exposed skin to be burnt and scratched, as if it were radiation damaged.

Looks fantastic and sounds awesome, but I can hardly see the screenies are so dark. But hey, it takes place underground, it's not gonna be very bright.
