When I want to uninstall and reinstall FPSC is it sufficient to copy the files folder to a temp dir, then uninstall everything, then install FPSC plus latest patch and copy the files from temp dir to FPSC's files folder?

Do model packs work when their files are only in the files folder or do I have to reinstall them as well?

This would defy the point of reinstall unless your problem was a missing file

Thanks

I ask this because I have some problems with floors. Some are supposed to play a sound when I walk over them but don't. Although I checked the FPS files.

The audio recordings for the 'footstep fx' in FPSCreator are not very well recorded. Some of them are recorded very low in volume,for example, if you choose to use value '1 or 7' you will have to turn up the volume quite high for your speakers in order to hear them properly.

This could be your problem maybe.

All the best of luck

The grass segment in ww2-platforms does not have sound although it has a materialindex in the FPS.

Some stuff of model pack 3 has no sound.

Check this:

;Segment Spec

;Header

partmax = 0
lastmeshmax = 0

;Segment Parts

partmode0 = 0
meshname0 = meshbank\M3\floors\floor_01.X
offx0 = 0
offy0 = -52
offz0 = 0
rotx0 = 0
roty0 = 0
rotz0 = 0
texture0 = texturebank\M3\floors\Wood_flr02_D2.TGA
transparency0 = 0
effect0 =
colmode0 = 1
csgmesh0 =
csgmode0 = 0
csgimmune0 = 1
lightmode0 = 0
multimeshmode0 = 0
materialindex0 = 17

;Segment Visibility

visoverlay = 2
visfloor = 0
visroof = -1
viswallb = -1
viswallr = -1
viswallf = -1
viswalll = -1
viscornertl = -1
viscornertr = -1
viscornerbr = -1
viscornerbl = -1

;Segment Blueprint

mode = 2
symbol = 0
floorsizey = 1
sidesizex = 100
sidesizey = 1
sidesizez = 100
groundmode = 2
kindof = 0

;end

-----------

But in the audio -> materials folder there isn't any 17-wave-file. The range is only from 0 to 16.
