Bad Monkey

Yet another Winner and if what you say is true, a whole army or collection of this kind of quirky character would be a 'must have' for most users.
From the images you are showing the characters look great.

Are you sure about giving them away for free?

All the best with this

I like it, but I'm dubious of the texture. Most of the shading on the screenshot is being created post-process by your modelling program. Can we see a shot in FPSC? FPSC kind of tends to flatten out your textures, unless you have added some really definite shading.

I think the models are great, very creative. THey remind me of those figures you see in gift shops that are made out of nuts and bolts.
So yeah, great job, great concept, but perhaps the texture needs improving.

I think you should reconsider giving these away, as well. My suggestion: get several of your creations together, and sell them as a pack, my friend.

I do agree with Butter fingers' thought regarding the textures. They won't hold up well, as FPSC washes and flattens out textures.

Thanks,

Seth Black

yes you're right. I'm withholding all these models because I'm still working on getting these textures to look good in fpsc.

The texture looks flattened and white. Why does fpsc do this? I've been experimenting with various texturing techniques and i'm making progress.

I've always intended to sell my work, as individual models and as a pack.

EDIT: Here is an image of what springer looks like in the FPSC editor, with an improved darker texture.

here is a screen shot of what it looks like in the test game.

note: i enlarged the image.

What do you guys think? is this competent enough for sale or is more needed?

Do you know what would look good? A drawn on face, as though the robot had drawn it on himself to 'look human' but couldn't quite get it right.

I think the texture on the arms and legs is fine, but the head might need a bit more work.

Here is a new texture i worked on. It's like a cartoon shader effect.
