I've been playing around with the gunspec and flakspec files trying to get SOME sort of equipable item that DOESN'T shoot!

Everything I try on the spec files just doesn't work! (Except making the gun transparent.... THAT I got to work, lol)

Can someone please show me how to make an equipable item that does NOT shoot or explode? Instead, I'd like the item to follow a script when the player uses it. It'd be nice if it did that, but it's not required.

Thanks in advance.

I tried this once and could not get it to work. I was just trying to make some binoculars so that you can right click and zoom in and out. But i couldn't stop it from shooting. I think there is a way but im not sure how to do it.

No, fpsc still gives you ammo even if you set it a 0.

Setting the ammo to 0 will merely give you unlimited ammo, I guess you could remove the shoot etc. animations and set the gun damage to 0? Although, on top of that, you would also need to remove the muzzleflash.

I tried removing everything... setting most everything to 0. None of that worked.

It'd be nice to have simple equips like binoculars as olliday mentioned.
