Is it possible to load data directly from a bitmap of land levels into DB pro.

I know it can be done indirectly - in DB 1.13 I used a small program to scan through a basic bitmap to create a file containing land heights that were then loaded into a matrix at a later stage.

However, can it be done directly - I specify the map, and this is turned into scenery?

I ask because I am wondering whether to upgrade to DBPro.

Thanks

Yep, you want the terrain commands - except that they're not really that great

We're hoping for better things - maybe in Patch 5.

Thanks, that's useful.

Do you know the mazimum resolution that can be used - I'm invloved in a ship simulator, which needs an accurate map of a large area

There's a limit of 128x128 on matrix's, so I assume the same limit is there for terrains too
