This is a battle engine I have been working on for some time now Occasionally there will be an error when putting out the scenary(due to AI concerns) if it freezes while loading just restart it. If the AI freezes thats because of terrain issues blocking the first bot. Its not an overly prevalent problem though.

Right now there is:
-Hero's can attack
-One magic spell (heal)
-Hero and AI move
-Defense
-Random terrain plotting.(rivers,ruins,mountains)
-Icons for various terrain when the selector is on them

Items are not in nor is running away.(running comes when it is merged with the world map)

Controls:
arrow keys to move selecting box
enter to select or perform action
arrow keys to handle menu
backspace to undo a menu selection
spacebar=show statistics (health,range,movement, etc...)
Shift=End movement turn for current hero early.

MAGIC:
There is a new magic system in my game (I havn't seen this in any others) what you must do after selecting magic is type in the words to the spell you wish to cast. If typed in properly then it will be cast and you will sumarily be permitted to select whom to cast upon. If missed then it ends and your turn is over.

the only magic spell right now is "heal" and is friend only.

Hero's are spheres and enemies are cubes

Critique is VERY welcome

So is the silence treatment a good sign or a bad one?

I'm board, so I'll download it.

(not much action on the forums right now)

edit: Display is not supported with 16 bit on hardware at line zero??

I'll just have to tweak a few settings.
