3 Dimensional Chat / Blender users, please help!!

Blender has been running on my laptop perfectly for about 8 months. However, I tried running it about 10 minutes ago. The console window popped up (as usual), then it closed and a window came up saying...

"blender.exe has stopped working"

This happens everytime I run it now. The only thing that I've installed between now and when it worked is Dark GDK. I tried uninstalling that, uninstalling blender, then reinstalling blender, but with no success.

Anybody know why this is happening?

I've read of it happening to one other person. It had something to do with his video drivers. But that can't be what's wrong here, as...

1. I haven't updated my video drivers for a long time.
2. Nvidia doesn't even support my video card anymore.

So now I'm wondering what in the world is causing all of this.

Then maybe update your video driver. I dont know, its just a guess.

Nvidia stopped updating their drivers for my video card awhile ago, and I have the latest one.

NVM, I got to work. It WAS my video drivers, but I had to download them from HP rather than Nvidia.

same here I went on anim8or thinking I might be able to do some good with it now I had some practice modelling. Man was I wrong I tried for 5mins and then before I knew it I was back to blender lol.
I now use hotkeys and keyshortcuts whenever I can on any app now lol
