When I run a multiplayer game, it contacts www.fpscreator.com

I am curious to understand why?

Their server has a master server listing for all games, a bit like how gamespy works.

Does this mean that in the far future, when the FPSC server shuts down, that the multiplayer functions of FPSC will no longer function? Is it possible to somehow select another server of some kind or even use your PC as a server?

@CroZone: Eh, no. Not unless it gets updated. But I'm confident TGC will keep the server for as long as people are playing it. And in 10 years, who would? Unless you still have a blast playing Win95/Win98, that is.

No one uses those anymore.... and if you do, you really need to update.

I need Dark AI before I can use FPSC X9.

Unforseen instances happen all the time, and you never know. Something could happen and tgc could shut down at the end of next year. We just don't know. Everything is possible

Storm 6000 is correct. The TGC "server" is just a listing of servers hosting the game. If you know the IP of a server hosting a game, you need just enter it manually.

Best.

I'm sorry, my answers are limited. You must ask the right question.
