i am locking to help a large project, witch has progress to show eg, working game engine, progress on the media side of things.

my main experience, and interest is in HIGH POLY. although i can do lo ish poly modaling, around 3/4k for a human, i am a profectionist, anything less just isent good enough. i can modal anything, so long as i have good reference images. i an NOT a disighner, i cannot think of stuff from scratch. my ideas come almost completely randomly.

good points:

*can make almost anything
*around 11 months expiriance with blender, i know it verry well
*can produce 100% quad meshes
*can uv map(see bad points)
*fairly good at organics (not hair)

bad points;
*CANNOT MAKE GOOD TEXTURES
*NORMALY QUITE SLOW
*have a tendency to loose interest if a project stops for any significant period of time
*ONLY USE LINUX, so cannot run dbp games
*have ABSOLUTELY NO interest in guns or cars, one of the few things i cannot make.

and finally here's some of the things i've made

the encampment for sea dome, 4 story building, fairly high detail. this only shows a VERY small proportion of the entire modal

a rough self portrait

human foot(and leg)

and the rest of the modal (not finished rigging)

About the normal character poly-count about 2000 polys. And you know the Strap on his chest I don't want that.

Hi Hessiess.

I noticed your thread for some modelling requests and am in need of a modeller - badly!

I am making a game called The Violence of The Lambs for the Phoenix Sentry Mini-Game Contest - Winter 2007 and I have been making the model of the sheep character but have bin unable to make the head of the sheep.

As it is getting close to the closing date of the contest I need the model of the head fast.

I am using Blender 3D to build and animate the sheep however I am unexperienced in using it and have never made anything to be brought into FPSC so I'm learning as I go.

If you would be interested in helping me then I will post some reference images and some concept art of the entire sheep.

Thanks!

@Heissess: Do what ever you want no one can stop you from opening blender and making something awesome for someone elses project.
And tha_rami you cannot control him. You literally have placed him in the Uncomfortable zone. If he makes someone else models for the project it means he has retreated. If he makes 1 model for another project I guessing that is retreating. If he justs makes little 3d doodles thats alright. And also... Heissess make anything you want. If it is retreating then you are going to lose a great modeller Tha_rami.

wow, that was a little too "angry boss" sounding for an online game dev team.

I'd recommend not taking yourself so seriously, and realise that it's hard to find a quality modeller with free time who will work for free. I know I wouldn't be enthused to work in a team where I can't do my own thing too.

you make it sound as if he should be privilaged to be on your team, but really you're privilaged to have him modelling for you.

btw, generally, media takes a lot longer to complete than code, so your modellers should never be waited to be 'needed'

nice model heissess, but the head could do with being taller and eyes closer together. really emphasise the chin and cheekbones, that'll make him look meaner.

If you are still available. I am in need of a modeller, who can rigg and animate. If you can do this then I'll pay for quality work.

sorry for posting a rant without responding to the other posts, thay were posted whilst i was writing the rant

thanks, its currently moddled as on the refarance, witch isent particularly accurate, the ears are to far back for example. its general tweecking like this that takes up the most time, aswell i have a tendency to make people loock board, even on drawings.

Quote: "

i can rig, but its nowhere near as perfected as my modeling is, i can rig for basic movements, but not well enough for extreme poses, like involved in acrobatics, sward fighting.

for example this simple animation
http://forumfiles.thegamecreators.com/?i=1334010

and

http://forumfiles.thegamecreators.com/?i=1335726
the blend file is also avalable if you are interested

http://forumfiles.thegamecreators.com/?i=1335729

i havent done a whole lot of animating

this walksycle is the largest animation i have made. i can animate, am just quite slow, and lack experience (and refarance material) witch is the biggest reason why i haven't done much.
http://forumfiles.thegamecreators.com/?i=1337208

once i start something i WILL stick with it until its finished. even if that takes remaking from scratch 10 times

and the only resen i am currently modelling for free is i don't have any way of tacking a payment over the net.

@Deathead: thank you for the confedance boost what do you think of the modal? have you tryed putting it into your game yet?

Can you unwrap the wastlander model? I want to practice my texturing. I have not mastered Blenders UV editor.

@Hessiess:

Considering you are taking requests, just to see what this will look in 3-D (Roughly) Can you model this character? (Sorry for the one view, but I am still editing the pic, getting different versions.)

I may not check back often soon, but that cannot be helped due to my current busyness. If you do not want to do it, or cannot or whatever, fine with me. Just wanna see how he looks 3-D, roughly.

I like it. Thanks. ALLOT better than I can do, deffinetly at 1819 faces. If I ask for anymore, it may not be free any more. xD That is also a little higher than what I do with SIMPLER objects, yet alone a person.

your game looks ok, but the charactors are letting it down, espetialy on the joints, some of them look like limb deformations, some like bone deformations on the same character!.

i'l heap where i can
