Hello,
I am trying to change the default numbers for FPSC weapons into images like the attached one. IF its not possible please tell me, but if you've done it, or know how then help would be appreciated. Here is what I want the magazine to look like. This would be the equivalent to 8 bullets left and 3 fired. Aka 8/extra ammo.

In the "Please read the enclosed before posting in the FPSC boards!" STICKY THREAD... FredP has this to say:

Quote: "Please post your pictures/images in .jpg or .png format.
Posting your pics in .bmp format can result in your thread being locked.
There is no excuse for not being able to post in ,jpg or .png format.
Any paint program (including Paint wich should be on your pc) will convert your pics to the proper format."

I would advise you and all others to follow this advice in order to get people to actually help you. And to not get your thread locked.

I honestly don't think it matters if the file is 10kb.

Yeah I didn't think it would matter, plus I think they are referring to screenshots not to a tiny 140 x 20 pic. Anyhow can you help me or not? Anyhow you don't have to view it, just don't press the button if your scared of BMPs.

Slayer I haven't yet looked into changing the ammo hud.
But I would suggest searching the scripts forum for the health hud system, this should be adaptable to the ammo hud.

One thing to remember, when changing the sky etc in the build game level settings I have found that the fpi is over written and you lose any health huds you created so if you include a health or ammo hud system keep a back up of this, just in case. The best bet is to always make any level changes in the fpi manually.

I will give it a shot, but what about the .dds files in gamecore/guns? Couldn't I edit those instead?

Yeah, thats simpler if you were to replace the numerics with images, change the husize values in the fpi,you could also increase the image size of the .dds.
Good idea

The numeric .dds files are in gamecore/huds

I would prefer you post in .jpg or .png if possible...because I have to open the images in the Gimp and it takes a moment to load.
As well as for all of the other resons...but i won't crucify you this time since I see a back seat moderator has already posted...

Please have mercy and use the search function.
