I have just finished installing a chat room on FPS-Files. You can use it to receive support in real time or communicate with people. You also have the ability to create your own chat rooms for what ever reason.

Hope to see some of you there!

You can access the chat at:

And what is this for? Its not exactly a model. Nor is it media. So I either guessing a lock or something. But hey I'm going to check it out.

You can use it to chat about media, so it does have some relevance.

Hmm... I think you would of been better off posting this in the FPSC chat board because Models and Media is either FPSC models for people, requests for media or models, but this is a website actually.

LOL! Nice try Matt; but I'm afraid DH is right, I'll move this on over to FPSC Chat for you...it'll probably get more coverage there anyways.

TeMpLaR1,

Did you set up the color scheme? It seems the chat box would be better in white like the type-in box, or as least lighter than it is. If you pick a light color for your text to show up on the black background, you have trouble seeing it in the type-in box. Also, the system messages and date/time are in dark blue, and almost invisible on the black.

Other than that, it's working well and gets a little traffic.

Best.

I'm sorry, my answers are limited. You must ask the right question.

I guess you mean the system messages. They aren't critical I think. If possible, changing both areas to a light color would solve it, since the system automatically starts you out with that blue color.

Best.

uhm..no. I was wondering what program he was using for his chat application. if there is a CSS form for his layout than it should be as simple as changing it to meet his needs. if it is not in the CSS then it should be in the main .html or php page.

Cheers,
Dave

I'm using a chat script called PCPIN Chat 6

There is a stylesheet, but the purple system message isnt listed on it, I will have to search around in the web pages to find it

Isn't a critical thing though so im not to worried.

Check your "index.php" file. This should hold the information. If the file is the same color no matter where you navigate then the style has to be loaded from a main "CSS" or "PHP" file. check your main body area or just above them in your "PHP" files. the information will be the same . also you are looking for a hexadecimal color or the 4 digit "CSS" color digits

* I am installing this on one of my sites, i will help you solve the purple color issue as soon as I get it installed. Should be in a few minutes.*

Cheers,
Dave

*Edit*

Templar, here is your fix. It was quite simple to figure out. See attached image.

Dave
