I decided to see what I could do in 10 minutes (Blender).

I managed to make a halberd, a double-bladed axe, a claymore, a broadsword, a longsword, a shortsword, a mace, and a dagger.
When I was making a spear, my timer hit 9 minutes, so I just duplicated the weapons I already had, deleted the spear, and set them up in my last minute.

But hey, at least I managed to keep the weapons low-poly.

Here are a couple screenshots:

All weapons:

Swords:

The polygons for the swords are somewhere around 200 polygons each, axe and halberd are also around 200 each, and the mace is ridiculous because of the head.

that is great for 10 mins
the sword hilts are a little thin for my liking though.
I've just started using blender and am amazed how little effort it takes to make something that looks good. Finding it a bit confusing to get used to but it's a brilliant program, they really have thought of everything

Thanks for the compliments.

"but it looks like you just put allot of primitives together"

ermm... The swords all 3 merged primitives, a cylinder, a box, and a sphere, axe and halberd are 2, box and cylinder.

Thanks to blender's power, it worked out really well.

Yeah, it took me about a week to be able to use it.
I'm still learning the best parts of it.

You might try looking at the noob to pro wiki, it has helped me a lot.

haha I am!
some of the images are corrupt though so that's making it difficult to understand, especially when he's telling you what buttons to click on.

I have to admit, when I first clicked the "set smooth" I thought "wtf? where'd all the polys go?", still don't understand what happens there

Polygons disappearing? Unless you tried to smooth an empty plane I don't know what is going on.

What version do you have?

@OBese87

This is usually because the normals are around the wrong way, try clicking all the missing faces in edit mode and then click "flip normals"

Another cause may be you viewing it differently with the light change from solid to smooth

Apart from that I have no idea what's going on
